Black Rooster Fireback

The Black Rooster Fireback has a gently arched design that shows a proud rooster announcing the dawn. Throughout history roosters have served as a symbol for honesty, courage and strength, making it an excellent choice for the home. This fireback will increase the efficiency of your fireplace by reflecting some of the heat that is normally lost back into your room, and it protects the rear masonry wall of your fireplace from the intense heat of the fire. Your fireback should be large enough to protect the area of the rear wall directly behind the fire, but should not extend into the flue opening where it could choke off the draft or interfere with the damper. An area of 4 to 15-inches can be left on either side of the fireback. We also offer fireback supports to hold your fireback in place.
