18" Log Grate

The 18" Log Grate is constructed of thick heavy duty steel bar to last for years. This 6-bar log grate rests on two cross bars that form legs to hold the firewood 3-inches off the fireplace floor. This clearance allows air to circulate underneath and be drawn up through the wood for a consistently burning fire. The six bars of the grate are curved on both ends to prevent logs from rolling off. The log grate is 18 inches wide at the front, 16-inches wide at the back and 14 inches deep to fit in smaller fireplaces and has a black powder coat finish.

Inspired by the European ironwork of the past, the 18" Log Grate is handcrafted in the traditional hammer and anvil method using only the highest quality materials. It has been individually hand forged and hand welded to exacting specifications and is constructed with an innovative 'snap-on' method of construction which eliminates the use of screws and hardware.
