The grate rests on four legs that allow air to circulate under and around the firewood giving you an evenly burning flame. Constructed of 5/8-inch thick heavy duty steel bar, this grate will perform for years. The log grate is 23-inches wide and 15-inches deep to fit in small to medium sized fireplaces and fire pits, and it lifts out easily to allow full access for cleaning out ashes.
